Your Temple is Not Yours - It's the Lords
Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God. You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body. (1 Cor. 6:19). If you are honoring God with your body that mean he should have the best. If you didn't know now you know. You honor God with praises but you also honor with your health and strength. If you aren't taking care of your body, your praise is more than likely lacking as well. So not only are you disrespecting Gods body, but you aren't maximizing your praise.
It takes a lot of discipline to live a health life. According to Hebrews 12:8, if you are not disciplined then you are illegitimate children and not true sons. A discipline person also controls his impulses, and actions (1Pet. 3:10).
To live a healthy life your eating should be in moderation. Christian are counseled to be moderate in all things (1 Cor. 9:25). So we shouldn't just be moderate in shopping or watching TV but in all things. So that even refers to eating. Your fried foods should be limited your fast foods, your portion size. If you can't restraint than you have no self-discipline and self -discipline is a behavior that should characterize all believers.
Make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge: and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; (2Peter 1:5-6)
Perseverance is the ability to endure through difficult circumstances. Paul counseled steadfastness in the lord's work because labor for him is never in vain (1Cor. 15:58).
It's not an easy task to exercise on a regular basis but you must endure if you want to live a healthy life to do Gods work. Your workouts are seeds to a better health. So, don't give up, just be blessed. Asked God to help you. God said for whatever you ask in my name according to my name, it shall be done.
Apply these things to improve your temple:
Moderation - Eat in moderation.
Discipline - Control your craves
Perseverance - Working out is not always easy but you must endure.
