Pray Before Working Out
Working out can be a very hard task for most of us. It is especially hard when you don't work out regularly or if you are just starting out. I have been active all my life in some capacity. I do enjoy working out. However, it is not always easy. When I am preparing for a bodybuilding competition, I workout twice a day, (during the last 6-8 weeks). That is no fun.
I don't always feel like working out but I push myself and I ask God for help. Before starting my workouts or while I'm warming up, I pray to God to help me. I lift up my eyes to the hills- where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth (Ps 121:1-2).
The LORD is far from the wicked, but he hears the prayer of the righteous (Pro 15:29). I ask him to give me the strength to complete another workout. You might not want to workout but after praying, God will definitely guide you right through it. You will feel much better at the completion of the workout. God will give you the strength you need. The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace (Ps 29:11). All you have to do is ask.
Ask of me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession (Ps 2:8). Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you (Mt 7:7).
